Parents

Kappa Alpha Theta provides ways for parents to get involved too!

Dad's Weekend
Each fall, Theta plans a weekend for Dads to come visit where they can spend time with their daughters and get to know members and their fathers.  The Dads Club also meets during the weekend to vote on improvement projects for the chapter or its facility.  The weekend is centered around a home football game and a social activity is planned for the chapter.  This past fall members had the opportunity to tailgate on the hill before walking down to the stadium to watch the KU vs. OU football game.

Mom's Weekend
In the spring, Theta Moms have the opportunity to visit and spend a weekend with their daughters.  During this time, members are able to participate in a social event such as a scrapbooking activity or other craft activity.  Also included is the annual silent auction to raise money for the Moms Club.

The Theta Moms Club and Dads Club provides a way for parents to help improve the chapter by providing funding for various projects.  Past projects provided by these groups include improving the back parking lot, providing lighting in the front drive, purchasing new computers for the study room, facility renovations, and other projects.  The Moms and Dads Clubs are much appreciated by the chapter and its members for all of the help and support they provide.
